DESIFEST 15' is back for 2021.
We have an exciting week planned for 2021. This year, we are working with city officials and health-care partners to create the safest event possible. With our incredible success with digital shows in 2020, DESIFEST will be a blend of digital and live programming. Get in touch to learn more and explore sponsorship opportunities.
Since 2006, our vision was to make Canada an important market for South Asian music - and with delivered on that promise. Each year, artists across the world get featured on DESIFEST. We are globally recognized for our production, execution and genuine care for the artist community.
In 2020, we were recognized with The SOCAN Licensed To Play Award, for consistently and conscientiously recognizing the importance of music rights.
It doesn't matter which country you're in or what language is being spoken, the fans just magically seem to get it. They share a common goal of love and celebration for the purity of magnificence and brilliance that has been created by the artist. It's transcendent.
Starting in 2021, our music programming will start to reflect the communities who make up Canada. We will be open to all communities to share their culture through music. South Asian music is heavily influenced by others cultures - and we want DESIFEST to be a reflection of our fans.
Our team supports artists with on-going mentoring and education. In addition to 1-on-1 mentoring, we host monthly webinars on topics ranging from songwriting to legal. We have a private FB group with over 1200 members, focusing on breaking into the mainstream with original music.
Over the last ten years, we have built a global network for music distribution. Key markets with partners include the US, India, Pakistan and the UK. We help local artists launch music projects into multiple markets with our partners, secure funding, and touring and record deals.
We are excited to be back to work for 2021. Our team is ready to continue our efforts from 2020 and continue with our mission to support and celebrate Canada's multicultural communities.
