Performer

Puja is a trained Hindustani Classical Vocal singer and teacher with experience for more than 15 years. She has also been a teacher at the prestigious Ajivasan a academy of music headed by Mr. Suresh Wadkar.

 

Puja has also been a playback singer and performer. She sang her first playback song was for the movie Table No. 21 (Released in Jan, 2013) Titled as ‘O Sajna’.

 

She has recorded playback vocals for Ad jingles, TV series and Movies along with performing live at various concerts.

 

While classically trained, she enjoys all forms of music – from timeless classics to modern contemporary music

Nirmala Jadoonanan, graduate of Ryerson University’s Theatre Performance Production program with a focus on Tour & Stage Management, has been working in the entertainment industry for over 10 years. A strong passion for music led her towards a career in Artist and Event Management. Nirmala has worked in various capacities as an Artist Manager, Stage Manager and Event Manager over the years. 

 

As an artist manager, Nirmala has worked alongside local and international artists, from rising artists to celebrities, to develop their brand, their music, their online presence, and as a day-to-day manager. Nirmala is determined to help artists reach their potential and have their music consumed by listeners around the world.

Zackery Reynolds

Zackery Reynolds is a Toronto jazz guitarist who has been professional for 6 years now. He graduated from his undergraduate degree in Bachelor in Fine Arts (Music) at York University in 2018 and, since then, he is performing and teaching throughout the GTA. Zackery has developed his playing on the electric guitar and can play in several different jazz and popular contexts.

Hasheel

Hasheel is a South Asian Queer Hindustani Classical Musician. He has been training in North Indian Classical music since the age of 5 under his father. At the age of 9, he started professional vocal lessons and also started playing the bansuri under the guidance of his first teacher and original flautist on the Life of Pi score, Shri Jeetu Sharma. He quickly excelled in both Indian and Western music and started composing and writing his own pieces at the age of thirteen.


Hasheel lived in India to pursue his musical training and is currently a senior student of the legendary Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, the renowned bansuri player. Hasheel has performed around the world and across Ontario. He is also featured in numerous albums and film scores with over 100 tracks to his name. His collaborations include those with Balkan musicians all the way to electronic House and Drum and Bass artists.


Hasheel pushes gender fashion norms that exist in and outside of India. Differently from drag, he gender bends while wearing clothing inspired by Indian bridalwear. Hasheel’s music mixes hip-hop, electronica, R&B, and Bollywood with a steady undertone of traditional Indian Classical.


Performances have included those with Kailash Kher, Hariharan, Karthik, JoSH, Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan, Karsh Kale, and for academy award winner A. R. Rahman. He has also headlined the brOWN//out stage for Pride Toronto. His most recent work includes ‘LIMCA’ and ‘RaagRani’. Released as a spin on Beyonce’s ‘Lemonade’, ‘LIMCA’ is a celebration of Indian culture and queer expression. ‘RaagRani’ is a documentary style music video celebrating the union of his cultural identities.

Kavya Rajith is a multi-faceted artist who sings, and plays bass & piano. She attended York University for a double major in Jazz Performance and Information Technology. Her post-secondary education at York, coupled with her Indian music training at ‘SaReGa Music School of Fine Arts’ allows her to partake in a wide variety of projects in the music industry in & around Toronto. From Jazz, to RnB, to Indie Rock, to Indian film music – she loves it all!

Graced by her Parama-Guru Ustad Mian Qadir Baksh and with the guidance of her Guru’s teacher, Ustad Gurmeet Singh Videe. Ramona humbly takes her Guru’s blessings to allow her the opportunity to perform.

Pratik Rao – Indian Vocalist & Coach

  • Born in Mumbai (Ex Bombay), India
  • Started his vocal music training at the age of 5 years
  • He is trained in various Indian vocal music styles like Hindustani (North Indian) Classical vocals under the guidance of Mrs. Tulika Ghosh at Sangeet Mahabharati Academy, Shri Suresh Wadkar at AJIVASAN music academy, Dhrupad Sangeet under the tutelage of Pandit Sukhdev Chaturvedi, Ghazals & Bhajans under the guidance of Shri Kuldip Singh & Mrs. Sampada Bandodkar and learnt some basic Carnatic (South Indian) vocal techniques with the help of guru M.S.Vidya in Bangalore, India
  • He participated in the longest running Indian music reality show, SA RE GA MA PA children’s special on Zee TV and won 4 consecutive episodes back in 2001-2002. 
  • He has successfully completed his Hindustani classical vocal music course from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, India and also completed his Sangeet Visharad i.e. Bachelors in Indian Classical Music from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, India in 2014. 
  • He formed a music band ‘The Vintage Taan’ in Mumbai in 2010 and composed and sang India’s Anthem for Autism, ‘Alag Hi Asha’ funded by the Government of India and has also collaborated with a popular YouTube channel ’88keys to euphoria’ with more than a million subscribers
  • He has participated in several live events, concerts, festivals & recorded for jingles, cartoons, television series & bollywood movies
  • Pratik currently resides in Toronto, Canada, where he teaches Vocal Music and sings in Tamil for a South Asian Band ‘Agni’ and also composes and sings for a Tabla Centric Fusion Music Band ‘Rakkatak’ along with Tabla player-Anita Katakkar, bass player-Oriana Barbato, Flutist-Hasheel Lodhia, Violinist-Jessica Hana Deutsch & Percussionist-Zaynab Wilson
